Those who decide to leave for a holiday in the Canary Islands and want to spend most of their time at the seaside, must certainly choose, among the various islands of the archipelago, that of Fuerteventura. The sea, in fact, has spectacular colors that you can hardly resist, although sometimes the temperature of the water is not too hot. The beaches are immense, long expanses of black sand, which betray its volcanic origin, but also pebbles and rocks, for those who prefer the rocks.
The August holidays in the Canaries allow you to enjoy a particularly mild climate, the temperatures are not excessive, but in Fuerteventura, in particular, are further mitigated by the winds. The beach of Grandes Playas, in the northern part of the island, has evocative dunes (Dune Park) that are reminiscent of those of the desert, and slide with gentle slopes, until they pour into the waters of an intense turquoise. Those who appreciate it can visit the park on the back of a dromedary.
Another beach that seems immense is Solyventura. Some small comforts for tourists, such as beach bars and umbrella service, but for the rest nature is the undisputed queen. Faro Morral is a beach of white sand, its peculiarity is that it offers a sea almost always calm and waters with very pleasant temperatures. A great advantage for those who decide to leave with small children.
Of course, if you rent a car or if you travel by taxi, the August holidays in Fuerteventura are a great time to visit the interior of the island, perhaps with guided tours. Throughout Fuerteventura there is no shortage of excellent accommodation facilities and, even in this period, you can find great deals with low-cost hotels at low prices.
For those who want to do some shopping, or at least stroll through the streets of a city, the village of Morro Jable is ideal. There are narrow streets that intersect in a maze of ups and downs, but as soon as you get to the most touristy part, Jandia, you can find many shops for a few hours of shopping. The more sophisticated can shop in an affiliate of Macy’s, one of the most famous department stores in New York, where you can find several items of great interest.
